Marvel Studios announced Black Panther has begun shooting with Director Ryan Coogler best known for Fruitvale Station and Creed, both of which star Michael B. Jordan, who will play a role in the film. The synopsis of the film came out not to long ago with the following:
“Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.
This to me already sounds a lot bigger than I expected the film to be but it's not confirmed it will be as huge of a blockbuster as Captain America: Civil War or Doctor Strange seeing how we don't have images or a trailer, I mean, THEY JUST STARTED FILMING! Hopefully we see what happens to Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, whom probably will remain on ice until Avengers: Infinity War. Maybe a post-credit scene will help with that.

A big thing I love is that Andy Serkis is reprising his role from Avengers: Age of Ultron as Ulysses Klaw. I can only assume he's playing the major villain seeing how in the Comics Ulysses is T'Challa's arch-nemesis. Also, Martin Freeman is reprising his role as Everett K. Ross from Captain America: Civil War. The character of Ross wasn't the best which is such a let down after hearing the casting of Martin Freeman who's biggest roles include Dr. John Watson from "Sherlock" and Bilbo Baggins from "The Hobbit". At this point I can only hope his character will appear in Avengers: Infinity War and stand side by side with Benedict Cumberbach's Doctor Strange, if only to make countless Sherlockian fangirls and myself squeal.
Black Panther is Directed by Ryan Coogler, stars Chadwick Boseman as the lead hero, and is set to release in theatres on February 16th, 2018.
